Many business owners feel stuck when trying to figure out how to reach more customers. They want to know what can they do to make more money or what’s the ‘magic formula’ that gets them noticed, but I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again….it’s not magic, its marketing. Increasing your visibility is a sure fire way to make the money you want and that literally comes down to a combination of three things: Organic, Paid and Partnership

Many entrepreneurs who are just starting out try to grow their business organically. They may rely heavily on social media and post on their pages, in groups and incorporate blog posts, videos and live streams. They also rely a great deal on ‘word of mouth’ and referrals to get the message of what they do to out there. Once done consistently these are all great ways to build credibility, trust and truly establish yourself in the industry you’re in. The issue is, however, that it can feel like it’s taking forever to make an impact on your target audience. There’s a lot of sitting, waiting and hoping that people come to you just to wow them with your talents which can be frustrating for some because it can feel like business just isn’t going anywhere.



Facebook, Instagram and Google ads as well as other forms of paid traditional media such as radio, television, press, magazine and billboards can all be considered paid reach and can get your business noticed faster. Advertising on different mediums also adds to the credibility of the business and can truly make you stand out, but unlike organic reach, can cost a pretty penny if you’re not quite sure what you’re doing. With literally thousands of options out there, it can be a daunting task to figure out where to be, how often and how much to invest. I’ve seen businesses just opt out of advertising all together because they just cannot figure out where to put their money or get bamboozled out of their earning by sales representatives who are looking to make a quick buck. This is where you need the advice of an experienced and impartial marketing expert



Partnership or collaborations is a great way to bring more people to you. Involvement in telesummits, sponsorships, speaking engagements and live events can truly put you on the map and get you seen by the right people.  My mentor says: “Collaboration is the currency of entrepreneurship” and this no joke. Getting together with other heavy hitters in your industry that you share the same target with can truly help promote your brand and you can leverage their marketing and advertising to promote yourself.

Be mindful however to:

  • Partner with other business owners who are aligned with your brand and ultimately add value to customers
  • Ensure that each partner gets adequate and equal exposure from the collaborative efforts
  • Adjust your mindset and attitude to realize that you are part of a team, working towards a common goal.

When you find an elite team of highly motivated, knowledgeable persons to work with, you automatically feel like you can take over the world


So which is right for your business?   Simple answer….all three.

Forge real relationships and establish yourself as a leader in your field. Give valuable information, assist others in the various groups and let them know about you and what you do, but also promote yourself with some sort of paid advertising to get seen by more of your target audience. Depending on your budget, boost posts on social media that have high engagements or that resonates with your audience and incorporate forms of traditional media in the mix. Look for ways to partner with other business owners and companies to promote yourself even further and bring more people to you. Can you offer a complimentary product to their customers or can you link with a competitor and offer their clients something extra special that they will need? Always think of ways you can add value and use this draw more people in. It is marriage of both on and offline that gives you business success.
