I recently did a post on social media where I listed out a few of the habits that I’ve adopted over the years to help me be more productive working from home. Having done so for the last five years, I had a bit of a routine down……throw in a global pandemic I had to turn things up a bit to calm the chaos.

Now that things are relatively back to normal, I admit there are a few additional habits I’ve adopted because life has changed so I definitely needed to change as well.  For example, when I first started, I didn’t have a son; Now I have a toddler who’s attending preschool classes online……less time for me, more time for him.

I guess that’s the very nature of life right? As things change, we adapt.

That’s why I’m sharing this with you, because no matter where you are in your entrepreneurial journey, these six habits will help you manage your sanity as you build a global brand so here are some additional must-do’s as you build your empire:

1: Delegate.

You can continue being a DIY diva but I promise you you’re going nowhere fast, plus, it’s leaving you frustrated looking at this never-ending to do list. My suggestion, delegate the things you don’t want to do or that you’re not good at, not just in your business but in your everyday life too. Have a friend or family member help with cooking dinner or do the grocery shopping, clear some things off your plate so you can focus more.

2: Don’t Overcommit.

Rachel Rodgers, author of We Should all be Millionaires wrote “being less accessible is a form of self care” and she’s absolutely right. Do not be tempted to say yes to everything and do not try to fill every void by being busy.

3: Set and Reinforce those Boundaries

We say we’re not working on weekends but here we are responding to emails and replying to text messages. Do we demand quiet time when we need to get our stuff done? Do we ask what we need? Most times we don’t because we don’t want to upset anyone or ruffle any feathers but listen to me when I say, you need to protect your mind, your spirit and your personal space. Don’t just talk about what you need to do, actually do it. Your future self will thank you.

4: Think Positive

Don’t worry about the negative things that may never happen, train your brain to see things working out the way you envision. Imagine yourself winning, see more clients coming to you and visualise your bank account swelling. Look in the mirror and give yourself that positive pep talk and you’ll see how much easier it would be for you to take positive action.

5: Google Yourself

You may not remember but Google will never forget all the wonderful things you’ve done and the accomplishments you’ve made….and those reminders help tremendously when you feel stuck, lost or uninspired.

6: Call your Bestie

Not everything needs to be about work, sometimes you just need to de-stress so call up your girlfriends or better yet, take a night out on town and let loose.

So if you want to create more time, more freedom and more space in your business for creativity and money to flow then these daily habits are just what you need. Imagine how much more you can get done, how much more time you can spend with the ones you love and truly make an impact in your life.

It’s the life I’m sure you’re eager to live so live it today.

Try these habits over the next few weeks and let me know how you feel.
